Sinatra’s is currently enjoying its thirteenth year of successful trade and with its pleasant blend of class and comfort, it is not hard to see why it is one of Nottingham’s most well established venues.

The Venue
Sinatra’s is situated in the increasingly chic, Chapel Quarter area of Nottingham city centre. It is certainly not hard to find as it boasts possibly the most impressive outside seating area in the city, which could happily seat almost a hundred people.

The interior of the venue is segregated into bistro and restaurant sections; the restaurant being a few steps down from the bistro. The furnishings are of non uniformed tables and chairs that somehow blend effortlessly together with the enormous ornate mirrors and the endless celebrity photographs that adorn the walls. The style is very much casual and classy while managing to avoid being pretentious.

The Atmosphere
There is a relaxed atmosphere around Sinatra’s and everything is focused on the customer. Even if you only wish to have a drink, full table service is always provided whether seated inside or out. The staff are attentive without being pushy and relaxed without being indifferent. The clientele is of a good standard and this certainly isn’t the place for people searching for the cheapest drinks possible. Sinatra’s is strictly over 18’s only, which only serves to enhance the relaxed atmosphere.

The Food
Sinatra’s certainly does not profess to be a Michelin-starred establishment. What it does state is that quality of food is paramount and in this respect it goes beyond expectation. Its bistro menu combines classic dishes such as an all day breakfast (£6.95) and roast chicken Caesar salad, alongside more refined meals like the seared sea trout (£12.95) which is served with sweet pea risotto and seared scallops, all complimented by a dill veloute.

The restaurant menu offers many of the main meal dishes that the bistro menu has, but there is also an ever changing specials menu, the produce of which is sourced locally where ever possible. The fillet of pure bred long horn beef is quality assured at £19.95 and the pork belly, served with crackling and gazed peaches, is sure to satisfy anybodies hunger for great food.

The Drink
Sinatra’s offers a good section of wines, starting with their house wines at a reasonably priced £12.95 and moving through to varieties such as Sancerre (£19.95), Chateauneuf du Pape (£19.95) and Barolo (£21.95). They also host a good selection of champagnes.

For the beer drinkers there is a choice that includes London Pride, Kronenbourg, Red Stripe, Guinness and a fine selection of bottled beers which are always served with a chilled glass. There is also a reasonable selection of spirits, which will undoubtedly ensure that whatever your thirst may be, it will surely be quenched.

The Final Word
Sinatra’s is an absolute must for anyone who values excellent food, impeccable service and a relaxed atmosphere. The very fact that it has managed to maintain its success in an increasingly tough industry is testament to just how well this place does its job.
