We are looking for a venue for a couple of bands to play a local gig in Nottingham. Preferably where the room is free or there is a nominal charge for the evening. Does anyone know of any?

try intake club in mansfield,they are always puting new bands on usually thursday nights at 9.or you could try sheffield just about every pub that have live music will give you a go as long as you play for free.see websites.iknow these are not local but sheffield has loads of pubs wth function rooms all for free.try looking in the gazette free local paper covering sheffield and chesterfield you will find about 20 venues look on there website to view the paper.or you could come down to the greyhound in beeston this sunnday open mike session each band gets to play 3-4 numbers no need to book just turn upwith your guitars,drums pa etc all suplied
