The ViewNottingham Review
Don’t be fooled by the name, Nottingham’s premier underground club is anything but a secret. The VenueSituated next to The Rescue Rooms, Stealth is two rooms full of sheer musical mayhem playing anything from indie rock through to bumping house and everything in between.
The club is divided over two main floors with the larger capacity room situated upstairs. This space features live acts and bands due to the fact it has a stage, while downstairs in room two, you generally find a more DJ-orientated sound.
The PeopleThe people and music varies depending on what event is on. Spectrum, Firefly, Product or Detonate (on alternating Fridays) offer various dance music options. On Saturday it's Stealth Vs Rescue Rooms, where they open up both venues and you can move in between the buildings listening to whatever you like. Mr Scruff, Annie Mac, RZA, Simian Mobile Disco and even The Klaxons are just some of the artists who have played at Stealth. If you’re after big names, this is the place for you.
The mix of people is diverse, from students to the drum and bass fraternity and beyond. There's always a good vibe about the place, which makes it a popular venue for live gigs and big name guest DJs.
The DrinkEach bar is well-stocked with the usual beverages, from shots through to bottles of beer and cans of Red Stripe.
You can expect to pay club prices here, but it does seem that the spirits can work out less costly in the long run if there is a particular offer on. Be sure to ask the bar staff what’s going cheap for the night, as sometimes the promotions are not clearly advertised.
The Last WordStealth is one of the most popular underground clubs in Nottingham and has a loyal and ever-growing following.
