As a lively bar and club that showcases regular live music, The Rescue Rooms attracts a party crowd, making it one of Nottingham's most popular night spots.

The Venue
The Rescue Rooms is situated on Goldsmiths Street, just up the road from Nottingham Trent University.

It's set back from the main road and you can hardly miss it as you walk by its iron gates, especially on a busy night with the hordes of people out on the terrace taking in some fresh air as the drink and conversation flows.

The main thing you’ll notice, as you walk through the door, is the lounge-style seating along with elongated bar, which also houses a kitchen serving food throughout the evening.

The People
Because of its location this is mainly a hang out for students and young, cool types. It’s not the sort of place that you would make your local but the vibe is always upbeat with the added bonus of a live stage area.

Rescue Rooms has had live performances from the likes of RJD2 through to Bad Manners, and it’s a good place to catch a gig, especially as the tickets aren't too expensive (some gigs are only a fiver).

It's a vibrant and cutting-edge establishment that still feels intimate due to its proportions being fairly small.

The Drink
Serving up a large selection of bottled beers, spirits and wines means that you’ll never go dry here. Prices are varied and on specific club nights there are deals to be had, although be warned on a busy night (and it does get busy!) you may have to wait a bit, even though the staff are efficient and helpful.

They operate a strict age limit policy, so make sure you bring necessary ID and do not get offended if you get asked.
